Meet Our Military Defense Team
Jeffrey A. Lustick has a combined 15 years of service as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the U.S. Air Force on active duty and in the Washington Air National Guard and civilian practice. Jeffrey is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s School at Maxwell AFB, AL and completed the 12-week Judge Advocate Staff Officer Course as well as the rigorous Basic and Advanced Trial Advocacy Courses. He has received advanced military justice training at the U.S. Army JAG School in Charlottesville, VA and the U.S. Naval Justice School in Newport, RI. He is a graduate of the Air Force Squadron Officer’s School and attended the USAF Air Command and Staff College in seminar.

His many JAG Officer staff positions include service as a Staff Judge Advocate for a Wing and Squadron, service as a base-level military prosecutor trial counsel, being appointed as a base Legal Assistance Officer; leading the Adverse Actions (NJP & ADSEPs) and being Chief of Military Justice (General and Special Courts-Martial) at a busy U.S. Air Force base.
In his last military assignment Jeffrey founded the office of the Washington State National Guard Defense Counsel and regularly defended members of the Army and Air National Guard concerning misconduct and separation issues. Recently, Jeffrey has been asked by Fox News; Reuter’s News Service; KOMO T.V. and Radio in Seattle; and the Associated Press Worldwide Service to provide analysis of a major military case currently in the news media. Throughout the years, he has served as a Civilian Defense Counsel in numerous military cases and administrative separation boards and is nationally recognized as an outstanding military law defender.
Mark A. Kaiman, with over 8 years of military law experience in the Lustick Law Firm’s Military Law Department, Mark has become extensively qualified and experienced in defending military members and saving their military careers. He has successfully defended numerous courts-martial and separation actions over the years. Mark served for three years in the Army Infantry before going to law school and he is exceptionally familiar with military history, traditions, and customs which makes him a tremendous asset in all formal military legal proceedings.
He is admitted as a member of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in Washington, DC and has been admitted to the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Military Appeals and the U.S. Air Force Court of Military Appeals, as well. He has received military justice seminar instruction from the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and the United States Coast Guard Military Justice Division as an civilian attorney participant. Mark is a nationally recognized military trial litigator. Mark is also highly experienced in assisting military members in dissolution of marriage and with helping service members use the protections available to them under the Service Members Civil Relief Act.
